Animal Models of Infectious Diseases Training Program

Major Areas of Interest: The Animal Models of Infectious Diseases Training Program, funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH), established for the first time a training grant in microbiology at UC Davis. The program seeks to train talented graduate students to conduct studies of human infectious diseases using animal models and novel biological methods that are evolving from the revolutions in genomics and bioinformatics.

The Center for Genomic Pathology is a nonprofit educational foundation established to collect, integrate and disseminate knowledge about genomic pathology and to support educational activities at the Academy of Genomic Pathology. Its mission is to train the next generation of comparative pathologists as well as their students and staff to help them meet the needs of the scientific community with accurate interpretation of the diseases produced in mice through genetic manipulation.
