Awarded Project: "Virus-induced Cell Fate Decisions in Anti-Viral Immunity"

Virus-induced Cell Fate Decisions in Anti-Viral Immunity

Dr. Nicole Baumgarth, in conjunction with the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa, was awarded a three year grant from the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease, NIH.  The overall aims of this program are to determine the cellular and molecular mechanisms regulating immunity to viral diseases with an emphasis on influenza and LCMV infection. Dr. Baumgarth’s project is concerned with the role of IgM and the development of IgM memory B cells during influenza infection.
