Identification of Mammary Basement Membrane using Anti-Laminin
Normal prelactating mammary gland in a mid-pregnant FVB female stained using the immunoperoxidase technique to identify laminin. Note that the ducts and alveoli are oulined by a heavy red-brown cytoplasmic stain. The antibody also identifies some but not all endothelial cells. Compare this pattern with the IHC of SMA and CD31. The primary antibody is a polyclonal rabbit antibody against human laminin. The stain results in a high background around some of the adipose tissue.
