Low and High Molecular Weight Cytokeratin in the Pre-lactating Mouse Mammary Gland

Normal prelactating mammary gland in a mid-pregnant FVB female stained using the immunoperoxidase technique to identify cytokeratin. Note that the luminal cells of the collecting ducts have the heaviest red-brown cytoplasmic stain. Some myoepithelial stain is also present in the developing alveoli. The primary antibody is AE1/AE3, a monoclonal mouse antibody against high and low molecular weight cytokeratin. The MOM technique was used.
