Wholemount staining of mouse mammary glands
Wholemount staining allows evaluation of the overall development of the mouse mammary gland. It is easy to estimate filling of the fat pad and the extent of side branching.
After examination and documentation the tissue can be embedded in paraffin, sectioned, and stained for histological assessment.
