Ductal Carcinoma in situ - cribriform pattern

10 x   40 x
  Histobank ID #1769
Low magnification image of a case of human "ductal" carcinoma in situ, cribriform and papillary variants showing the involvement of a cluster of terminal ends. Since the clusters are so close together, they are more likely to be part of a lobule rather than true ducts. Each "duct" is filled with cells. At this magnification, the combined papillary and cribriforn patterns can be visualized.
  Histobank ID #1770
Highest magnification image of a case of human "ductal" carcinoma in situ, cribriform variant. The "duct" is filled with cells with rather uniform "cooky" cutter gland-like spaces. One space has a dark blue area of mineralization in the center. This image shows the cribriform pattern.
